Slinky dog may be cute, but he doesn't hold up too well. The nose will fall off, making it a possible choking hazard for very small children. Also with kids, they tend to tangle and bend and stretch the slinky in the middle, the actual coil does not hold up to ALOT of handling, the metal gets bent easily and it can and will tangle to the point of being beyond repairable...
I think the person with the idea, had a good idea, but didn't follow through on the fact that very active, small children were going to actually play with this toy. |

well we purchased this toy - slinky dog, because our son loves toy story and this looked like the best slinky we could find. we recieved it quickly and my son has a blast with it. even hugs it even though its not soft.. ha ha! the legs do not move which i did not expect them too, but for those wondering about this toy it has wheels on its feet and a string out its head thats about 4-6inches long. there is a string from upper torso to backend and through the tail inside the slinky parts so the toy does not over extend. (helps keep the slinky part not stretched out) - for those that never had a slinky toy if they stretch too fast the become misshaped and are hard to reshape if at all. also like to add my son did get it a little of the slinky bent next to the body but its a toy and kids do things like that it really didnt ruin the look or funtion of the toy at all. and its easy to clean. ;)

| Super cute retro slinky dog. I'm saving this one for Easter. My little guy is gonna flip! Even the box it comes in is cool. The slinky part looks sturdy. The only weird thing is that its pull-string sorta just juts out from its forehead. It's just like the picture on the box, though, so I suppose that's how the toy has always been. He'll still love it, anyway, I'm sure. |
